Hello, 6K students. What I'd like you to concentrate on over the week-end, is preparing for the Social Studies exam. Please complete your cue cards, practise using them, do some practice tests and study your notes. This test will probably be a bit tougher than the L.A. test was, so come prepared! There are also two other tests in class this week. They are as follows:

S.S. ~ Greek unit test on Tuesday, June 19th.
L.A. ~ Poetry test on Wednesday, June 20th.

It's time to start preparing for provincial exams. Please make sure you review for Social Studies especially. You can google provincial achievement tests and try out old exams. Another site is www.exambank.com. For about $13.00 you can write 30 tests. They tell you how you did and what the correct answer is as well.

Hello 6K students and parents! I can't believe it's already the end of May. I bet the kids are starting to count down the number of school days! Here's what's due for tomorrow and the next little while.

L.A. ~ News unit notes are due tomorrow.
French ~ Unit test on Monday. Please study vocabulary, stories and questions and the verb aller (present and future tenses).

Students can start to review for the Gr. 6 Provincial Achievement Tests. One way is to google 'Provincial Achievement Tests' then go on-line to write a practice one on the computer. Another good website is www.exambank.com. For about $13.00, a student can do 30 tests on the computer. I really like this one, because they explain why your answers were wrong and show you the correct responses.
